Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) coating offers the following benefits:

  • Nonstick Properties
  • Chemical Resistance
  • Temperature Stability
  • Low Friction
  • Electrical Insulation
  • Biocompatibility
  • UV Resistance
  • Low Water Absorption
  • Dimensional Stability
  • East to Clean

PTFE isn't suitable for all applications. It may require special prep and techniques depending on the application.

Soldering, brazing, and welding are processes used to join metals. The main difference between these processes are the temperature they operate and the materials used for the joining process.

  • Soldering
    • This is a low-temperature application operating at temperatures below 450°C (840°F). It uses solder, which has a lower melting point and is commonly used for electronics where a strong joint is required.
  • Brazing
    • This mid-temperature process usually operates between 450°C to 900°C (840°F to 1650°F). It uses a brazing rod or filler metal, which melts and flows into joints. It's used for joining a wide range of materials making it a popular choice.
  • Welding
    • This high-temperature option operates at temperatures above 1500°C (2730°F). Welding creates extremely strong and durable joints and is used in structural applications like building construction.
